At San Juan de la Costa, public traffic (myself included) is diverted from the paved — all the way to the busy mining town of San Juan de la Costa. The accommodations were bare bones beach camping & fresh water was a bit of an issue but that only seemed to add to the "rugged Baja experience".We dove the islands to the north of the bay & they were amazing. In the town there are 38 men and 35 women. This trip was simply exceptional. Just this last trip, I took 3 of my personal best: a 20lb cabrilla(leopard Grouper), a 36lb Pargo(Cubera Snapper), and a 65lb gulf grouper...these were not the biggest fish I saw and these were not the biggest fish of the trip. The new boat is a center console; it is very fast and comfortable. fun watching them jump out of the water. The vibe here in San Evaristo is peaceful and we enjoyed just hanging out either at the restaurant or in the cockpit.
